CMFC is a high-performance training facility designed by Mike Wilson (former collegiate athlete) for athletes and CrossFit athlete or fitness fanatic, and those looking to make a serious commitment to their long-term health. CMFC provides athletes/fitness goers with an environment in which they can identify and work toward quantifiable improvements both inside and outside the training facility. With an emphasis on individualized goals and needs, each client is provided with specialized programming and the coaching necessary to carry out client's goals effectively. CMFC is known for training profressional athletes to amatures who recognize the importance of training and fitness. Weightlifting I participate in and teach Olympic weightlifting. I found a love for it after briefly participating in CrossFit. The scientific aspects of weightlifting are fascinating to me; when done correctly, the lifts are a seamless combination of strength, speed, power, coordination and balance. There’s also something fun about being able to throw a heavy barbell over my head… 

Exercise Science  I have a passion for health & fitness, especially the science behind strength and conditioning. Living a healthy lifestyle has changed my life immensely, and I love being able to work in a field where I can share my knowledge and experiences with others. After college I aim to become a physical therapist who specializes in sports performance, working with weightlifters, powerlifters and any athletes in general. I also plan to work with Type 1 Diabetics.

Personal Training / Group Fitness with Amanda Axelsson at CMFC

 

Amanda is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of Stockton University. She graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health and a minor in Holistic Health. She is currently working toward her nutrition coaching certificate by Precision Nutrition.
